Access to treatment

How do we ensure all Australians have equitable access to effective eating disorder treatments no matter where they live or what they can afford?

Every single person living with an eating disorder should have access to effective and affordable treatment. Unfortunately this is not currently the reality. Whilst research into adaptive, digital and novel therapies is required in part to address this inequality, we also need increased investment and advocacy, and eating disorders to be treated as core business by the health system. These are vital and ongoing goals of the centre.

Research can transform people's lives.

The Australian Eating Disorders Research and Translation Centre is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the National Leadership in Mental Health program.

Lead Agency, InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders, is a joint venture between the Sydney Local Health District and the University of Sydney
