Dr Kathina Ali

Research Fellow, University of Sunshine Coast

Dr Kathina Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast and a registered Clinical Psychologist specialising in eating disorders. Kathina completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Australian National University investigated help-seeking barriers and online peer-to-peer support for eating disorders. She currently co-leads the Be Well Lab, a collaborative team of researchers and clinicians from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Be Well Co, the University of Adelaide, and the South Australian Health & Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). Kathina has extensive clinical experience and a passion to make a meaningful change in the life of people. For over 10 years, she has worked clinically in the area of eating disorders, and has conducted research focussing on help-seeking, barriers to treatment and online intervention programs.
