Amy Gibson

Amy Gibson is a member of the lived experience reference group and is currently supporting a family member with an eating disorder. She is interested in supporting high quality eating disorder research and has a particular interest in the relationship between autism and eating disorders.

Amy is an epidemiologist with extensive experience in academic research, research support, and postgraduate teaching in the university setting. She completed her Master of Public Health (University of Sydney) in 2004 and her PhD (UNSW Sydney) in 2009. Amy has over 20 years of experience in clinical and linked data public health research with multidisciplinary teams. At UNSW Sydney she has worked at the Centre for Big Data Research in Health, School of Population Health and Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity and is currently employed as a Senior Research Officer at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre.
