Jane Rowan is the first Executive Director of Eating Disorders Families Australia, which is the only national organisation solely supporting carers of those with eating disorders. A former political journalist and senior communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement leader, Jane has over 20 years of management experience across various sectors, including health. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors , a Non-Executive Director of Upbeat Arts Australia and the Somerville House Foundation, and a member of the Australia and New Zealand Mental Health Association. She also holds a Certificate of Specialisation in Leadership and Management from Harvard Business School Online. Jane's experience of having cared for a daughter with Anorexia Nervosa has made her passionate about ensuring other carers are supported and educated while on the recovery journey with their loved ones.
